(This post also contains a short story) I didn’t think I had a method of writing, but it turns out I do. First I have an idea and I write a little memo. Then I write a very short version of the story. Then it gradually gets longer and longer, with more intricate plot points and extra characters. In the end the finished story bears very little resemblance to the original version.

None of us like change, it seems to be human nature. But change does happen so, for better or worse, we should embrace it. The thing that got me thinking about change recently is Amazon’s imminent takeover of Goodreads.
The winner for the competition for strange questions is… *drum roll* Christine Larsen for her question, “Do frogs have accents?” Congratulations Christine! And a huge thank you to everyone else who participated!

Ok so a few days ago I posted a poem I wrote when I was under the weather and probably semi-hallucinating. Well I wrote two. This one’s a bit darker and I imaged it being said in a gruff London accent to a primal beat. I’m down in the dumps I’m living the dream Just forget All that you’ve seen Don’t have no money Don’t have no home Down in the dumps Lost and alone Hiding in shadows
I like to think people are essentially good. It’s in my nature to give people the benefit of the doubt, even though I am sometimes left disappointed. You just can’t see the good sometimes. However, even with my optimistic state of mind, it’s rare in this world of ours that you see something that makes you stop and think, yes as a race we are a good and kind people. Which is partly why I wanted to post this. I [...]

Ok, so I thought I’d try kickstarter to help fund the illustration and printing costs of my book. I have here a list of things that I would like to offer as rewards, such as signed books, audio books, ebooks, t-shirts, badges, posters, magnets and one off stories, the full list is below. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions. If anyone does have any thoughts on what you would like to see artists in general, or me [...]

So after months of searching for the perfect person to illustrate my book, The Adventures of the Frog Prince, what are the odds that my perfect illustrator would find me? It’s not like there weren’t hundreds of perfectly good illustrators out there. In fact, three in particular had caught my eye. Jason Walker Wilson Williams Jr
